How to Marry a Millionaire, San Francisco Edition

Tip: Date in the Haight.

Consulting firm Wealth Engine found the street addresses of about 1,800 unmarried millionaires in San Francisco.

It doesn’t take master-level powers of perception or a Battery Club membership to see that San Francisco is now full of young money. But where, exactly, is it? Now we know, thanks to the consulting firm WealthEngine, which provided San Francisco with the street addresses of roughly 1,800 unmarried millionaires within city limits.

The numbers—based on census data, DMV records, real estate dealings, and various other sources—don’t tell us everything (for example, it's entirely likely that some of the Castro's 177 unmarried millionaires aren't single at all—just gay and not claiming their new rights yet). But there are some revealing nuggets here.

Namely: Old centers of wealth (and centers of old wealth) like Russian Hill and the Marina appear to be waning in favor of the central city. Well-off unmarried men still outnumber well-off unmarried women. And if you’re looking for a sugar mama or daddy, get thee to the Haight, stat.
