Why: Because it's adults only, so you can tinker and explore while sipping on drinks.
What: Free National Parks Weekend
Where: National Parks, including Muir Woods and Yosemite
When: Saturday Nov. 9th to Monday Nov. 11th
Why: Because when the government reopened the parks did too.
What: SF Opera's Open House
Where: War Memorial Opera House
When: 10:30am to 2:30pm, Saturday Nov. 9th
Why: Because there's musical demonstrations, sing-alongs, stage combat workshops and wig and makeup demonstrations.
What: Jack of All Trades Market
Where: Jack London Square, Oakland
When: 11am to 5pm, Saturday Nov. 9th
Why: Because it's put on by the folks of the Treasure Island Flea Market and there's 150+ vendors.
What: Budos Band, and Afrolicious
When: Saturday Nov. 9th
Why: Because you love Afro-Soul-funk and seeing it performed live by a ten piece band.
What: SF Transgender Film Festival
Where: Roxie Theater
When: Friday Nov. 8th to Sunday Nov. 10th
Cost: $12-$15, or $50 3-day pass
Why: Because there's a special Memorial screening for the Festival’s co-founder Christopher Lee.
