Welcome back to the work week. It’s hard to adjust, we know. So instead of wallowing in your sorrow, give yourself something to look forward to. Here’s three events that will wipe away the Mondays.
Mission Bowling Club’s Soul And Bowl
The hipster bowling joint is launching curated soul music series every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. They’ll have drink specials, happy hour food all night long, and free shoe rentals. You are, however, required to boogie while you bowl.
7–11p.m., 3176 17 St., missionbowlingclub.com
Shades of Blues
Pop in early for a lesson in Blues dancing (think up-close-and-personal juke box tunes) then stay to practice your moves at their free Monday night dance party. Insider tip: you might just want to watch—turns out this is where the pros come to cut loose.
Classes at 8:30p.m., $12–$15, Open dance 9:30–12:30 at the Polish Club, 3040 22nd St., wejustdance.com
Blackthorn Trivia Night
Brush up on your obscure knowledge, order a deep dish pie from Paxti’s and prepare to use your noggin. Trivia starts at 9, but get there early to ensure you have a spot—the place has a tendency to fill up.
9p.m. Blackthorn Bar, 834 Irving St., blackthornsf.com
