Contributing San Francisco writer Jaimal Yogis to celebrate the release of his new book project, 6:30 p.m. at Book Passage.
What is fear and how does it work? In what ways can we overcome it? In his new book "The Fear Project: What Our Most Primal Emotion Taught Me About Survival, Success, Surfing...and Love," contributing San Francisco writer and avid surfer Jaimal Yogis seeks to answer these questions, using his own experiences and fears to bring understanding to a complex emotion. As research for the book, Yogis challenges Half Moon Bay's largest waves, dives with great white sharks, and speaks with the world's most renowned neuroscientists and psychologists. To mark the release of his book, Yogis will plunge into the frigid Bay waters for a 2.4-mile night swim from Yerba Buena Island to the Ferry Building alongside world-class ultra swimmer, Jamie Patrick. The swim can be live-streamed here. Party at Book Passage to follow.
Jaimal Yogis celebrates the release of "The Fear Project" tonight at 6:30 p.m. @ Book Passage (located at the Ferry Building).
