Guests filed into the Arizona Biltmore resort for the 10th annual Drive the Dream Gala, complete with cocktails, dinner and entertainment. Every year the event supports Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson’s nonprofit Childhelp, which is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.
The evening recognized Bob Bondurant for the 50th anniversary of his 1964 Le Mans victory. Linda Pope and Bob Machiz, along with his late wife, Carole, were presented with awards for their philanthropic efforts. Race car driver Paulie Harraka looked snazzy in his blue bow tie, while Greg Stanton, Jan Brewer, Addison Brown, Jim and Carol Hebets, Tara Hitchcock, Jim Lane, Craig Jackson and Carolyn Mullany-Jackson lit up the red carpet.
In addition to the heartbreaking yet inspiring stories of just a few of the many brave children Childhelp has aided, the performance of Broadway legend and actress Kristin Chenoweth was a memorable moment that night. Chenoweth later auctioned off the dress she wore that evening to a guest for $1,000—another contribution toward the nonprofit’s vision for a brighter future. –Photos by Haute Photography
