Haute Dogs
Man’s best friend brightens your winter blues with these three canine-centered events:

Bark for Fine Art
It’s time for a little celebrating! The preview party, aptly titled Celebration of Dogs, for Bonhams auction “Dogs in Show and Field: The Fine Art Sale,” will be held on Jan. 31 at 6PM at Bill Lowe Gallery and highlight pieces from the upcoming auction in New York. Sip on drinks and indulge in hors d’oeuvres while learning of the importance of dogs in art and our lives by famed author and gallery owner Bill Secord. Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Humane Society. Tickets start at $100. 1555 Peachtree St. NE, Ste. 100, atlantahumane.org

Dogwalk
Take a “paws” for the chicest (and cuddliest!) fashion event in Atlanta at Saks Fifth Avenue next month. Haute Hounds and Couture Cats Fashion Show and Luncheon takes place on Feb. 13 along with some notable local models such as Susan Gordy, Cheryl Espy, Kay Quigley, Joanne Chesler Gross, Travis Reed and Tony Conway. Five percent of the store’s sales that day will benefit the Atlanta Humane Society. $100. 3440 Peachtree Road, atlantahumane.org

Mardi Paws
Head south for a Mardi Gras celebration unlike any other on Feb. 19. From 2-6PM, The Village Baytowne Wharf Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort hosts its Ninth Annual Mardi Paws Parade. With an adorable theme, Cruisin’ Canines: Fetch a Wave, you won’t want to miss this parade of pups in their festive beads and Mardi Gras garb. $5 for walkers, $10 for floats and vehicles. 9300 Emerald Coast Parkway, Destin, Fla., sandestin.com
