Hall of Fame

As half of legendary rock duo Hall & Oates, Daryl Hall proves his talent extends beyond the stage.

International superstar Daryl Hall will soon be back in Atlanta for his concert with longtime partner, John Oates, at Chastain Park Amphitheater on June 15. The duo, freshly inducted into the 2014 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, performs as the classic Hall & Oates at this perennial favorite outdoor venue. Hall is a man of many talents and interests, not the least being his music.

The lead vocalist just wrapped up the eighth season of his critically acclaimed web-to-cable show, Live From Daryl’s House (check it out on lfdh.com). Previously taped in his Dutchess County, New York, home, the show features Hall jamming and chatting with other music icons—he recently finished a taping with Darius Rucker. Filmed without an audience, the show has an intimate and relaxing vibe. Hall is now taping the show inside his newest project, Daryl’s House. A former club located in Pawling, New York, Hall snapped up the space and began transforming it into the 18th century, early-American style reminiscent of his former home. His vision is to turn this space into a clubhouse where he and others can play, and crowds can enjoy an eclectic menu with a range of options and a full bar. Daryl’s House, the venue, is expected to open to the public later this spring, and will undoubtedly be a huge success.

Not content with just the club project, Hall is now earning a reputation as America’s coolest renovator! He purchased a home in Connecticut, a late Georgian Colonial circa 1787, that he is renovating for his newest project, Daryl’s Restoration Over-Hall. The new show will air on the DIY Network in July. Showcasing his passion for restoration, the project is a natural progression for the handy musician and his renovation brand. Imagine it, Hall in a tool belt!
