Prénom Phenom

After seven years curating contemporary furnishings for his funky and modern showrooms in Atlanta, New York, Miami and L.A., 31-year-old home decor hotshot Bobby Berk has launched a collection of his very own.

This charcoal sofa is part of Bobby Berk’s new Cagney Collection, while cowhide square ottomans from his Mindy Collection pull double duty as a table or seat.

Embracing the Scandinavian silhouettes and leggy construction of the midcentury, his 16 signature pieces of high-quality upholstery, case goods and tables showcase sleek details and bold splashes of color (choose from 25 fabrics and two hues of cowhide). Thankfully, this allows them to mix beautifully with existing lines in his Midtown store—think Gus* Modern, Blu Dot, Philippe Starck and more. Heirloomworthy and eco-conscious, Berk’s beauties are soundly constructed of FSC-certified oak and walnut, then finished with natural oils and waxes—making it easy to buff out unintended nicks and scratches. Berk flew to Atlanta to introduce us to his new designs personally. “I wanted to create furniture that the grandkids would fight over,” says the designer, pictured here at his Peachtree Street store. 805 Peachtree St. NE, bobbyberkhome.com
