Coming to Woodstock this summer is the third location of Roswell’s popular Salt Factory Pub (8690 Main St., Woodstock), where suburbanites can expect to find chef Bob McDonough’s upscale gastropub fare such as twin filets au poivre and tuscan kale pecorino salad. Downtown Alpharetta seems to be in a renaissance as it welcomes South Main Kitchen (9 S. Main St., Alpharetta, 404.955.2960), a local produce-driven resto with a focus on eats with an artistic flair, and Chris Sedgwick’s latest move: MADE Kitchen & Cocktails (45 Roswell St., Alpharetta, 770.676.0911). At this dining spot, timing is everything as guests can opt for Rush, Stay or Linger items on the menu. Down 400, Foundation Social Eatery’s (1570 Holcomb Bridge Road, 770.641.8877) chef Mel Toledo is giving Roswell an Atlanta-meets-Brooklyn experience with elegant offerings such as housemade pappardelle with lamb ragout. These upstarts prove delicious dining isn’t relegated to inside the perimeter.
