Aspen Magazine hosted its 20th annual kickoff to the Food & Wine Classic.
THE PARTY More than 300 guests attended Aspen Magazine’s 20th annual kickoff to the Food & Wine Classic at Aspen Kitchen, sponsored by Sill-TerHar Motors. The Cuban-inspired theme featured Latin beats by DJ Naka G. Attendees danced their way into a photo booth courtesy of SocialLight. Hosted cocktails featured Montanya Distillers rum and Suerte Tequila with Stripped Mixers, as well as poured wine by Matanzas Creek, Cambria, AIX Rosé and Impeccable Rosé Brut. Drinks were complemented by a Cubano-style sandwich station featuring whole sliced pork legs, passed salmon ceviche and chickpea fritters. The evening was topped off with sweet treats by Melissa Mulford and LaRae Biocic of Sweet Kiwi. THE GUESTS Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo, Christy and Ted Mahon, chef Tal Sims, John and Jan Sarpa, Bryan Fogel THE HIGHLIGHTS Guests filled Aspen Kitchen’s rooftop patio, which boasts one of the town’s most stunning views. With a signature cocktail in one hand and a Delysia Chocolatier cigar in the other, attendees properly toasted to the 36th annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen.
