The 36th Food & Wine Classic in Aspen continued to prove itself as the premier culinary festival in the country.
THE PARTY More than one party, the Food & Wine Classic weekend is a three-day stream of connected events. People, even those without official passes, dance from one fete to the next, where it seems each brand—from wineries to travel companies—competes for the most unique activation. The soirees take place everywhere from boutiques to private homes, and it’s not about how many one can get to, but who can get the most exclusive invite. THE HIGHLIGHTS Infinite Monkey Theorem hosted its seventh annual Wine at the Mine, an event that’s grown from a grass-roots feel to a grand affair. People danced while listening to music on wireless headphones after getting hard-hat mine tours. In downtown Aspen, Belly Up hosted two nights of private parties with music from Super Diamond, a ’90s cover band, and the Dancing Bear patio was the setting for rooftop revelry.
