Atlantans bumped elbows with A-listers at Camp Southern Ground’s Evening to Remember.
THE PARTY The sound of cowboy boots filled the air as guests arrived in their best country-chic attire for renowned country artist and multiplatinum Grammy Award-winner Zac Brown and wife Shelly Brown’s festive fundraiser to help build Camp Southern Ground’s first-ever residential lodge. After a swingin’ cocktail hour, actor Austin Stowell emceed the live auction, while executive chef Rusty Hamlin and one-and-only celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse served up Cajun-inspired dishes. THE GUESTS Wendy Barton, Sona Chambers, Florence Hall Edwards, honorary chairs Jessi and James Freeman, hosts Stacey and Don Leebern III, honorary chairs Lisa and John Novak, Laura Turner Seydel THE HIGHLIGHTS Live auction prizes included three $100,000 Zac Brown Band VIP experience packages and a trip to the Avengers: Infinity War set gifted by the film’s star, Chris Hemsworth, who was among the crowd. Steve Cannon and Thomas Dimitroff added an Atlanta Falcons on-field experience package, helping the foundation reach the jaw-dropping amount of $1.7 million raised in one night. Of course, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without a performance by Zac Brown Band, which we will definitely be keeping in mind. -Dana Gardner
