Dr. Mom

With a thriving Buckhead plastic surgery practice and a new house in Vinings, this mother of two has discovered an Rx for the good life.

Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery’s Dr. Theresa Jarmuz shares a sweet moment with her new baby boy, Bennett.

“West Coast Workout or Pure Barre are my usual spots. My littlest is not quite sleeping through the night yet, so I am currently using the convenience of the home gym right now.” $23 per class, multiple locations

“Date nights are few and far between, but I like to try the newest places. My husband likes Hal’s for music, dancing and a great steak. Canoe is also really beautiful, with great food and wine. It’s right down at the end of the street. I order a half portion of salmon and get my daughter to try it.” 4199 Paces Ferry Road SE, 770.432.2663

“For cute clothing that is more unique and great customer service, I go to Pretty Please Children’s Boutique. Also, they have the best Santa Claus at Christmas time and live reindeer!” Lemon Loves Lime dress, from $86, 3716 Roswell Road, 404.254.3187

“We love Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Center for Puppetry Arts. Every weekend we try to hit a different spot.” Family memberships from $99, 1345 Piedmont Ave. NE, 404.876.5859

Dr. Theresa Jarmuz moved to Atlanta for her residency at Emory University in the ’90s and never left. Eventually, she took over the practice on West Paces Ferry Road, now known as Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery. With a 2-1/2-year-old and a 2-month-old, the double board-certified facial plastic surgeon can easily sympathize with her busy clients and runs her practice accordingly. “Especially for moms, time is of the essence,” she says. “We can do concierge beauty. If you need Botox or fillers and your nails done, you can knock it all out here without trying to go to 10 different places. You can get a facial peel and a blowout at the same time.” The most popular treatments at BFPS are Alma lasers to get rid of brown sunspots (“we’ll knock them out in an hour”), CoolSculpting (“gets rid of a love handle without surgery”), injections and a nonsurgical face-lift she’s about to roll out. Here, the multitasking mom shares how she keeps a positive prognosis.
