The film industry elite flocked to Hollywood Boulevard on March 2, vying to take home the coveted Oscar statue. But the 2025 Academy Awards were about so much more than the winners. From head-to-toe sparkles to sculptured gowns and plentiful brooches, here are the best dressed stars at the Academy Awards.
Demi Moore
Arriving at the Oscars on an awards season wave of success, Demi Moore dazzled in a Giorgio Armani Privé crystal-embroidered gown paired with Christian Louboutin heels and stunning jewelry pieces by Chopard.
Colman Domingo
Helmed by Alessandro Michele himself, Colman Domingo took on the red carpet in Valentino. His scarlet shantung silk double-breasted jacket pulled focus, but the basket weave patterned ribbon clip from Boucheron’s private collection cemented the ensemble. He also donned a Fuzzy the Leopard Cat ring, Serpent Bohème stud earrings and a private collection bracelet made of two gold rope chains from the French high jewelry maison.
Ariana Grande
Closing out Wicked’s award season run, Ariana Grande enlisted the genius of Daniel Roseberry for her looks throughout the evening. She began the night with a Glinda-approved Schiaparelli custom Haute Couture piece. Inspired by an Alberto Giacometti lamp from the maison archive, the bustier dress flowed from pink satin duchess to nude tulle brushed with 190,000 crystal sequins and light silk.
Jeremy Strong
Nominated for his performance in The Apprentice, Jeremy Strong was statuesque in a bronze Loro Piana suit with a crossover bowtie and single-breasted jacket. He complemented his dapper attire with a Richard Mille watch.
Ana de Armas
The former Oscar nominee showed up as an award presenter, but she won the night for her black column gown. As a Louis Vuitton ambassador, Ana de Armas donned a custom Nicolas Ghesquiere piece distinguished by a crystal-embellished halter. She paired it with high jewelry pieces by Francesca Amfitheatrof.
Cynthia Erivo
Honoring her Oscar-nominated Wicked role, Cynthia Erivo channeled Elphaba in a deep green velvet gown by Nicolas Ghesquiere. The Louis Vuitton creation was the perfect canvas for her gilded manicure (“I wanted it to look like she dipped her hands in a treasure box,” her nail artist explained on Instagram) and impeccable Roberto Coin jewelry.
Queen Latifah
Before invigorating the Dolby Theatre crowd with a spirited performance of “Ease on Down the Road” in memory of Quincy Jones, Queen Latifah wowed in a ruffle-shouldered red gown and delicate collar necklace.
Emma Stone
Also a Louis Vuitton ambassador, Emma Stone slipped into a sequined sheath dress and high jewelry pieces by Francesa Amfitheatrof for the ceremony.
Selena Gomez
Evoking Old Hollywood glamour, Selena Gomez wore a custom Ralph Lauren hand-embroidered satin cuir evening gown. She radiated in the crystal-embellished dress, complemented by Bulgari high jewelry, including a Serpenti Viper one-coil ring in 18-karat white gold; a platinum ring with diamonds; white-gold earrings with diamond and a platinum diamond necklace pulled together by a central pear-shape diamond.
Elle Fanning
To present the Best Costume Design Oscar, Elle Fanning tapped Givenchy. The white haute couture dress is custom from Sarah Burton, who married French Lyon lace and silk tulle with a molded corset and black grosgrain bow belt. Fanning added some sparkle thanks to Cartier, which outfitted the actress in a 1958 Cartier Tradition necklace, a Cartier Fine Jewelry watch and a Broderie de Cartier ring.
