Bridal Sign Up

Meika-Rae Chervinskas & Joseph Ogando

July 15, 2011 | Terrain Ruisseau, Winters

The bride carried a bouquet designed by La Fleuriste and wore a gown by Los Gatos-based Haute Bride. The groom and groomsmen wore gray linen suits with seersucker ties and Sperry Top-Siders.

Sweets included produce from the Double R Ranch Fruit Stand in Winters and homemade cookies.

“The land and water have a lot of meaning for us,” Chervinskas
says of the creek where she and Ogando played as children.

Flowing, custom-designed bridesmaid dresses from San Francisco boutique Eel and Ermine suited a creekside wedding.

La Tavola Fine Linen and One True Love Vintage Rentals outfitted the reception.

Whitney Werts Events created the hand-painted table numbers.

The Couple
Chervinskas and Ogando grew up as family friends in Winters, near Davis. They reconnected when she moved back and visited his house to pick figs for her parents’ restaurant, Buckhorn Grill.

The Venue
The couple married surrounded by cottonwood trees and the sounds of the Putah Creek on 10 acres owned by the bride’s family.

The Details
The wedding, planned by the bride’s older sister, Emarie Chervinskas of The Collection Event Studio, was originally scheduled two months earlier (with a guest list of 360) but was rained out.

The Party
The dinner from Buckhorn Catering, owned by the bride’s family, paid homage to their Armenian heritage.
