A row of gowns at the new JLM Couture boutique.

Sunset Plaza is now home to St. Pucchi (8647 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, 214.764.3455, stpucchi.‌com), the bridal gown line designed by Rani Totman, who has more than 25 years in the business under her belt. Its discreet entrances and veiled interiors surround the bride-to-be in lace- and jewel-encrusted creations. >>> Tucked into a nook on Robertson, Lovely (638 1/2 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood, 310.659.2050, lovelybride.‌com) is the new West Coast branch of the cult New York shop. Though you’ll find some big names here, the intimate store specializes in smaller designers (including two Project Runway alums) and a curated selection of European lines, all reasonably priced. >>> “This season we’re seeing peplums, high-low hems and removable overskirts,” says Joseph L. Murphy, President and CEO of JLM Couture (352 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood, 424.249.3909, jlmboutique.‌com). The new L.A. store houses six coveted lines, including Lazaro, and brides can work with designers to dream up the dress. There are even in-store Skype-equipped monitors so that brides can twirl for long-distance relatives in real time.
