Abby and Aaron tied the knot with an elegant celebration at The Langham.

The bride’s accessories added the perfect pop of sparkle.

The couple’s multitiered cake was adorned with sugar cherry blossoms and lace appliques inspired by the bride’s Ines Di Santo gown.

Anthony Gowder added pops of color to the neutral tablescapes with varying centerpieces of coral garden roses, lisianthuses, godetias, campanulas and amaranths.

Abby Hunt and Aaron Enequist-Leiker met while working at GrubHub, where they have been employees for four years. “Fast-paced startup cultures tend to draw like-minded individuals, so it comes as no surprise that one can find their life partner there,” shares Abby. After the couple hopped on a flight to Paris on a whim for a weekend getaway, Aaron popped the question in the middle of Parc des Buttes-Chaumont with his grandmother’s engagement ring.

The couple fell in love with The Langham Chicago for its midcentury-modern furnishings and artwork. To reflect Abby’s love of flowers, Anthony Gowder created custom cherry-blossom ceiling installations, which “made the wedding,” Abby shares. The couple also worked with Frank Andonoplas, who Abby says “really captured our personality,” and tied in a palette of gray, coral, navy and green.

For cocktail hour, two custom drinks were served—one whiskey-based and the other vodka-based—followed by a three-course dinner of watercress and frisee with honey-roasted apple salad; seared diver scallops; and a choice of wild striped bass, rack of lamb or butternut squash ravioli. After dancing through the evening, guests indulged in a late-night snack bar complete with breakfast sandwiches. When the festivities ended, Abby and Aaron ventured to Indonesia for a Balinese honeymoon, staying in Jimbaran Bay and Ubud.

“Find ways to involve your family, from finding out what aspects of the wedding are important to both sets of parents to making sure everyone has a role during the ceremony,” Abby shares.
