Bridal Sign Up

Emilie Peloubet & Kent Watson

May 14, 2011 | St. John’s Anglican Church Pink Sands Resort, Harbour Island, Bahamas

Photos festooned with seashells played into the beachy Bahamian surroundings.

Bridesmaids were pretty in pink with Vera Wang frocks from The Bridal Salon at Stanley Korshak.

A snapshot from Emilie and Kent’s enchanting wedding weekend.

The bride chose a classic Oscar de la Renta number from Warren Barrón.

Ben Simmons of Little Island Design created a bouquet with seashells, roses, orchids, sea grapes and other flora native to the Bahamas.

Festive music performances got the party started!

The Couple
Emilie and Kent’s love story began when they met at a friend’s birthday. They were 12. But it was another party—a debutante bash—the summer before their senior year of college that led to happily ever after.

The Parties
Festivities kicked off with a beach bonfire and Thai-inspired cuisine at The Dunmore beach club, with guests from more than 15 states. A rehearsal dinner at boutique hotel Rock House brought back good memories—Kent proposed there. For the ceremony, a local children’s choir sang before the big kiss. The reception at Pink Sands served up a seafood feast, infectious beats from the Zulu Junkanoo band and a hopping play list by DJ Daddy D.
