Kimberly Dice & Antonio Conde

April 26, 2014 | Junior League of Houston

Ballroom dance partners Kim and Antonio wed at the River Oaks Garden Club and celebrated at the Junior League. She wore Monique Lhuillier’s Creme Brulee gown in a soft honey color from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon, and he donned a dashing tuxedo purchased in his native Venezuela.

The Couple
Kimberly and Antonio met at the River Oaks School of Dancing, the studio they now own together. “I was already an instructor, and Antonio came in for an interview,” explains Kim. “It was love at first sight!” For the proposal, Antonio took Kimberly to Discovery Green—also the place he first asked her to be his girlfriend—and popped the question. “We walked to the Listening Vessels [sculpture garden], where he told me how much he cherished our love and asked me to be his wife.”

The Party
The professional ballroom dancers choreographed their own first dance to John Legend’s “All of Me.” “One of the most beautiful first dances we’ve ever seen,” says wedding planner Aurora Perez Smith of Occasio Productions. After enjoying dinner at beautiful tables filled with blush and gold decor, guests took part in La Hora Loca, a classic Latin tradition where partygoers dress up in funky costumes and boogy down on the dance floor.

What We Learned
“In the end, no matter how much you have planned, it will not be perfect,” says Kim. “And that’s ok!”

The Honeymoon
The pair made it a trip for three by bringing their daughter Carolina with them to enjoy the sun and sands of Rosemary Beach, Fla.
