Leaves of Grass

Traditional flowers become the accents against unconventional, organic focal points.

Green and variegated hala leaves, also known as pandanus, comprise most of the bouquet. The pom-pom shaped craspedia herb comes in white, yellow and green.

Taking simplicity to an elegant level, Kimberly Mueller of Arteflora Design crafted a bouquet with only two components—palm-like hala leaves and craspedia—showcased under a dainty, birdcage veil of twisted wire. She used the leaves to create a long stem handle base and sculpted them into rosette accents. “The hala creates natural flower support for the rosettes and a few yellow craspedia,” Mueller says.
