Madeline Moreno & Gerry Medeles

November 5, 2011 | The Houstonian Hotel

The happy couple tied the knot in a double-ring ceremony at St. Anne's Catholic Church. His ring is by David Yurman and hers is from Zadok Jewelers.

Maddie’s bouquet of Hawaiian orchids, and her organza and taffeta flowered gown with Swarovski belt, both by Amsale at Mia Bridal Couture.

As a thank-you to their 300 guests, the couple imported Italian pinot grigio from the site of their engagement in Italy. They had custom wood wine boxes made by Aaron Poole & Sons of Idaho, who branded them with Maddie and Gerry’s wedding logo.

The bride’s five-tier, raspberry-filled vanilla cake with ivory roses and orchids, custom monogram and buttercream icing by Susie’s Cakes.

A peek at the glamorous reception ballroom—decked in cut-crystal candelabras and Tibet roses atop beaded matelasse linens from Linen Gallery—all styled by Weddings & Events by My Creations.

Maddie chose her gown at Houston Brides’ and the House of Blues’ ‘Something Borrowed, Something Blues’ event. Gerry purchased her ring from Zadok Jewelers.

WHY WE LOVE IT After 18 months of planning, it was a grand family affair, showered in exotic flowers. With the help of friend and florist Charles Ratcliffe, the bride’s mother, Margie Moreno of Weddings & Events by My Creations, created an oasis of 5,000 ivory roses from Equador and Tibet and 10,000 more flowers from all over the world.

THE VENUE Maddie and Gerry chose the Houstonian Hotel’s Grand Ballroom for their elegant, ivory and charcoal gray reception filled with hand-cut crystal candelabras.

THE DETAILS After three courses, guests enjoyed a same-day video edited by T-Squared Production and music by The Works on a monogrammed, Bright Star Productions dance floor. Plus, late-night breakfast tacos!
