Rachel Walters & Adam Syphers

Dec. 15, 2012 | Residence of the mother of the bride

Rachel’s casual and comfortable style carried over to every aspect of the down-home day. Or as she called it, a “no suits grab your boots,” wedding. Case in point: The bride wore Lucchese boots.

Todd Fritsch provided boot-scootin’ tunes during the backyard reception.

John Friedman designed naturally pretty florals.

Susie’s Cakes and Confections made the purple-patterened cake.

Swift + Company coordinated the day.

The couple
“My sister introduced us,” says Rachel. “She said she had a perfect guy for me.” Clearly sister knows best, so when proposal time came, Adam popped the question one Christmas Eve in front of their matchmaker and the rest of Rachel’s family after fooling his bride-to-be into thinking he was back home in Boise, Idaho.

The Details
The ceremony was held on the front porch of Rachel’s mother’s home and the reception kicked off in the backyard.
The Party
From the fire pit to the photo booth, the couple created an open, friendly, laid-back vibe for their guests.
