Byredo has expanded to its second NYC store with the opening of a gorgeous location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Byredo’s Manhattan flagship store is now joined by its new Williamsburg locale, a luxury retail space honoring both Byredo as a brand and Williamsburg as a neighborhood. “Each area of New York has its own distinctive aesthetic,” says Ben Gorham, founder and creative director of Byredo, in a press release. “Crossing over from Manhattan to Brooklyn, we wanted to showcase a different facet of Byredo so that the Williamsburg store can enter into dialogue with this unique locale.”
Located in the heart of Williamsburg, the store feeds on Brooklyn’s creative scene while still offering a calming respite from the eclectic energy of the city’s streets. The building’s façade is understated, featuring minimalistic brick that complements the interiors that pay homage to Gorham’s affinity for traditional woodwork. A nod to his love of the forests of Canada and Sweden, pinewood panels segment the room between buttery shafts of sunlight in the airy space, highlighting the raw stone sink and aluminum-framed vitrines and cabinets that showcase Byredo’s latest wares.
The space is littered with juxtapositions, such as the tension between natural materials and industrial accents that codifies Byredo’s visuals as a brand. Customers are encouraged to take time and space to interact with the products in a hidden alcove, allowing moments of intimacy in the bustling public atmosphere. A full range of Byredo perfumes, home fragrances, makeup and body care products will be available for purchase. Same-day delivery service will also be available.
