Canoe Place Inn's storied past is reimagined as a speaker and music series returns.

After a splashy return last season, local landmark Canoe Place Inn is now back as the heartbeat of the Hamptons offering a full roster of seasonal programming. Hailed as one of America’s first inns and the “First Stop Out East” for hundreds of years, the local landmark was established in 1697. Lovingly restored, the historic inn now boasts luxurious suites, cottages and contemporary canal-side residences with full-service amenities. This summer, the storied property—once host to musical legends spanning Duke Ellington to Billy Joel—is reviving its roots with an inspiring speaker and music series offering exclusive access to today’s cultural influencers. This summer’s programming will range from Candlelight Concert Series (with tributes to Queen, Fleetwood Mac and Vivaldi) to a wellness talk with Susan Bauer-Wu, president of the Mind & Life Institute. Concerts under the glow of candlelight and insights on how to improve our mind, body and spirit? Past perfect, indeed. 239 Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, canoeplace.com
