An impressive crowd gathered to honor a Chicago staple at Gene & Georgetti’s 75th anniversary celebration.
In honor of the Chicago steakhouse’s landmark 75th anniversary, more than 500 close friends and relatives gathered at the Rosemont location of Gene & Georgetti for a lively celebration of the popular family-owned restaurant, which has hosted the likes of Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and Lucille Ball in its storied history.
Proprietors Tony and Marion Durpetti, along with daughter and Managing Partner Michelle Durpetti, mingled as guests noshed on delicious small bites from Executive Chef Luis Quiroz. The Becca Kaufman Orchestra delighted the room with a take on Hope’s classic “Thanks for the Memory” that was tailored to the event.
In a heartwarming moment, the Gene & Georgetti staff debuted a charming video in honor of the steakhouse that was followed by a rousing performance by Tina J. Crawley and the TJC Choir. With spirits high, guests took that energy to The Estate by Gene & Georgetti’s ballroom, where they danced the night away. Cheers to the next 75! ‒Sarah Ryan
