Z Bar, The Peninsula Chicago’s highly anticipated new rooftop bar, showed off its lofty urban oasis with three glamorous parties.
THE PARTY As if the stunning new rooftop wasn’t enough, The Peninsula Chicago, per usual, took it a step further—or, rather, three steps further—with three consecutive nights of grand openings. Quite a feat. No one was exempt from admiration; even the city’s hottest celebrities, political powerhouses and top executives couldn’t escape the entrancing views of the Water Tower on Michigan Avenue. Some might have questioned the ambition of the hot spot to host such a marathon of parties, but with the temptation of a handcrafted Old-Fashioned and international live entertainment, the new addition was equipped to create three nights no one could forget. THE PEOPLE The evening lured many notables, including former Mayor Richard M. Daley, LaRoyce Hawkins, star of NBC’s Chicago P.D., and Entourage actor Adrian Grenier. The diverse and lively attendance proved that no corner of the city can resist a Peninsula party. THE PINNACLE Guests were captivated by live instrument DJ duo Jul&Co, who were flown in from Paris exclusively for the openings, while admiring the one-in-a-million view of the Magnificent Mile. -Lizzie Elward
