Go Pink

The city’s skyline proudly glows pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Here are four posh places where you can get involved that are dedicating all or a portion of their proceeds from selected menu items to breast cancer research and support programs.

Tanta’s La Guapa is a delicate gin drink garnished with a sprig of lavender.

1. Pretty in Peruvian Pink: Through Oct. 31
Sip for a cause at River North’s Tanta. The Peruvian restaurant pours a splash of pink into La Guapa ($12) made with CH Lavender Gin, rhubarb, lemon and Anna Rosé Cava. For every cocktail sold, $4 will be donated to Chicago-based Bright Pink foundation. 118 W. Grand Ave., 312.222.9700

2. In Good Taste: Through Oct. 31
As part of The Lynn Sage Foundation’s In Good Taste, all One Off Hospitality Group restaurants will donate $1 from the sale of selected offerings. Stand-out menu items include Avec’s Ginger Daiquiri, The Publican’s A Flight of Rose and Dove Luncheonette’s Queen Silva.

3. Drink Pink: Through Oct. 31
In anticipation of Tickled Pink for Bright Pink’s 11th annual fundraising event, Paramount Events has launched the #DrinkPink campaign, a collaboration with five of the city’s top restaurants to offer exclusive pink cocktails with proceeds benefiting breast cancer research. Our recommendation is Rockit Bar & Grill’s refreshing Eden ($14) made with cranberry pomegranate tea, Combier liqueur, Luxardo, Cocchi Americano and cucumber, lemon and mint garnish.

4. Desiring Dessert: Through Oct. 31
Just steps from the Magnificent Mile, Devon Seafood Grill gets sweet in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Order the Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake with white chocolate ganache, crème anglaise and fresh raspberries, and $2 from every piece will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a nationally recognized support organization that connects people affected by breast cancer at all stages of diagnosis, treatment and recovery. 39 E. Chicago Ave., 312.440.8660
