Antique furniture plus decorative and fine arts provided a stunning backdrop to the Chicago Antiques + Art + Design Show opening-night party.
THE PARTY Throngs of creative types were treated to a night of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while getting the first look at the 17th to 20th century fine art and antiques featured at the opening night of the second annual Chicago Antiques + Art + Design Show. Hosted by The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the party showcased the works of 80 exhibitors. THE PEOPLE More than 375 guests joined event chairs Meredith Wood-Prince, Jennifer McKinney and Elissa Kovas, and design chairs Ruthie Sommers (a Los Angeles-based interior designer) and Nick Olsen (a New York-based designer). THE PINNACLE Partygoers mingled and snapped selfies in front of a green wall designed by Lake Forest’s Molly Flavin that bloomed with white spirea and peonies. The evening raised over $200,000 to support the hospital’s patient care initiatives, proving the event to be an inspired collaboration of benevolence and elegance. - Shradha Shahani
