Chicago Botanic Garden’s Summer Dinner Dance blossomed into a vibrant evening.
THE PARTY Partygoers celebrated the Chicago Botanic Garden’s season of bloom during the annual Summer Dinner Dance. Guests mingled in their finest black-tie attire while perusing the garden installation, Color in the Garden, which features flowers designed in monochromatic schemes around the color wheel. THE PEOPLE More than 400 guests wined and dined among the medley of hues, including Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner. Chairs for the colorful night included Jane Irwin, Steve and Cassie Gavin, Gillian and John Growdon, and Ryan Ruskin and Michael Andrews. THE PINNACLE The decor for the evening drew inspiration from the display gardens and featured a rainbow of tabletop floral arrangements with yellow gerbera daisies and blue delphiniums. Even the lighting kept to the theme, as partygoers dined and danced under streams of lights with changing colors. Attendees planned for an equally bright future by raising nearly $1 million for the garden. -Sarah Foster
