THE FOUNDATION The glam, the gloss and, yes, the glitter came out to play at Modern Luxury Dallas’ celebration of our nightlife issue at the new Make Up For Ever store at NorthPark Center. It’s the first Texas location (there are just three so far in the U.S.!), and we couldn’t be happier to have the haute Parisian brand in our backyard. Judging by the crush of style-forward guests who crowded into the petite boutique for the cocktail party, we aren’t the only ones who are ecstatic about its entrĂ©e into the Lone Star State. FIRST BLUSH From the dramatic spotlights to the neon signs, Make Up For Ever is like backstage Broadway—sans any stage fright. Fitting, as founder Dany Sanz began her foray into makeup while working on a theater set. This backstage came equipped with cocktails and creative bites from “underground dinner” Chef DAT—and, of course, loads of candy-like cosmetics perfect for a night on the town and plenty of neutral options for day. FINISHING TOUCHES Spotted: LeeAnne Locken leaving with a touch of pink glitz; makeup artist Ashley Leal with an enviable aquamarine eye, as she guided guests around the store and gave mini-touchups and how-to lessons; co-host and The Beauty Buzz author Victoria Snee, rocking some amazing lashes; and MLD publisher and fellow co-host of the evening, Blake Stephenson, in a crimson lip.
