Hundreds gathered in the Dallas Arts District for the 2018 TACA Lexus Party on the Green.
THE PARTY The Elaine D. and Charles A. Sammons Park at the AT&T Performing Arts Center was ground zero for a casual-chic affair celebrating The Arts Community Alliance and its mission to transform lives through the arts in Dallas. Chairs Ann Mahowald and Ann Whitley Wood welcomed a crowd of almost 750. THE GUESTS DJ Lucy Wrubel, spinning on the AT&T Performing Arts Center Donor Reflecting Pool, set the sounds for the evening. Guests including Alana and Ron Brame, Mickey and Bill Lively, Robin and Chris Wiley, and Nancy and Blake Winston enjoyed all the evening held in store, from culinary offerings thanks to Dallas’ best chefs to a performance by Dark Circles Contemporary Dance featuring teasers from their upcoming Aladdin production. THE HIGHLIGHTS The inaugural Taste of TACA Award, adjudicated by chef Dean Fearing, went to chef Jeffrey Kollinger of Tillman’s Roadhouse. It was an artful night celebrating live and visual arts, including one-of-a-kind works by local artists Hatziel Flores and Corey Godfrey—commissioned exclusively for the evening. -Krystal Sarna
