The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas was an epicenter of charity and camaraderie on the night of the inaugural UNICEF Gala Dallas.
THE PARTY A glamorous set of familiar philanthropists pulled up to The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas for a red-hot night of fundraising, yielding more than $1.3 million toward UNICEF’s mission to save and improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children. THE GUESTS President and CEO of UNICEF USA Caryl Stern, and event chairs Moll Anderson and Jan Miller Rich welcomed notable attendees: Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Nick Wooster, Oliver Trevena, Kimberly Chandler, Joyce Goss and Leigh Rinearson who took fashion cues from the warrior-red theme of the night. THE HIGHLIGHTS The Kimberly-Clark corporation was honored with the UNICEF Children First Award, and Sheryl and Rob Lowe received the Global Philanthropist Award. Following dinner, Rob took over as auctioneer with his own last-minute addition—as did the Duchess of York, auctioning off a London-themed package. Singer-songwriter Skylar Grey’s delicate yet powerful voice reverberated throughout the ballroom, begging for an encore, as the night came to a close—but not before a boozy, Bullion-sponsored afterparty. -Krystal Sarna
