RESTAURANTS

CASA MADERA

Towering seven stories high above Wynwood, Casa Madera offers a cosmopolitan vibe with elevated Mexican cuisine inspired by the Mayan Riviera. Brought to Miami by Noble 33 and designed by ICRAVE, a Journey studio, Casa Madera’s sandy tones and lush greenery create a sultry setting for live entertainment. Executive chef Laura Arrojo crafts dishes such as A5 Tajima Wagyu beef with whiskey-barrel-aged soy and triple inferno salt, while Juan Carlos Santana, Noble 33’s beverage director, presents cocktails like the Golden Chakra, made with Nixta Mexican corn liqueur and garnished with a sweet corncob. thecasamadera.com

MIKA

Bishop Design, in close collaboration with restaurant co-owner Alex Pirez, married moody modernity and Mediterranean flair for the interiors of MIKA in Coral Gables, a partnership between chef Michael White, Pirez and Matt Safchik. A seasonal menu reminiscent of the coastal Riviera features squid ink lobster ravioli and crudo dishes such as sea scallops with gooseberries, Fresno chili and citrus colatura. Every dish and design detail has been crafted with intention. mikacoralgables.com

COTOLETTA

Salmon pink walls, teal-green banquettes and terrazzo flooring give Cotoletta the perfect Miami palette. But dining here transports guests from Coconut Grove to a café in Europe. Designed by Eduardo Suarez, the bistro exudes eclectic charm, with a gallery wall of tie portraits evoking a sense of hospitality. Owners Ignacio Lopez Mancisidor, Mattia Cicognani and Andrea Fraquelli, along with chef Giulio Rossi, deliver an authentic Italian experience with a pre-fixe menu of sides, desserts and just one main course: Cotoletta alla Milanese—a plate-sized, breaded veal cutlet dressed with rosemary and lemon zest. When a dish gets perfected over generations, why serve anything else? cotolettamiami.com

OTTO & PEPE

Saladino Design Studios designed Otto & Pepe’s enoteca, pasta bar and garden with the same convivial spirit that defines the Italian tradition of aperitivo. Chef Viviana Varese, wine expert Karina Iglesias and mixologist Matias Iriarte have created a choose-your-own-adventure spot in Wynwood where guests can watch their pasta come to life via an open kitchen concept while sipping on carefully selected wines and spirits. Try the cacio e pepe with a blend of seven peppercorns and pecorino cheese while enjoying a strawberry-balsamic spritz. Buon appetito. ottoandpepe.com
