Sometimes, all it takes is a late-night pizza and an instant bond over Harry Potter to turn a casual college acquaintance into something unforgettable. For Ellen Audrain and Kenny Nelson, that night at Kenny’s back-to-school party sparked a love story that would bring them years later to Portland, Maine, where Kenny orchestrated a perfect weekend of Ellen’s favorite things before proposing in a hotel room filled with roses.

The couple exchanged vows at Flora Farms in San José del Cabo, a family-favorite destination with special meaning for both sides. A close friend officiated the Jewish ceremony, which took place under a chuppah embellished with floral blooms, and their walk back down the aisle to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," surrounded by cheering friends and family, made the moment unforgettable. “We had a tight aisle so we really felt surrounded by love,” Ellen says.
The sunset-themed celebration reflected years of shared memories, with lush blooms of roses, orchids and bougainvillea set against San José del Cabo’s golden light and vibrant skies. “We wanted to play off all the color at Flora Farms,” says the bride. “We’ve seen many beautiful sunsets and sunrises in Cabo, so it felt on point: full of joy and celebration.”
The highlight? The band’s infectious energy had everyone on the dance floor, celebrating well into the night.
