In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Neiman Marcus Honolulu presented a special VIP fashion show by Ken Downing to benefit the Honolulu Museum of Art.
THE PARTY To launch Neiman Marcus Honolulu’s 20th anniversary festivities, fashion director Ken Downing created the singular Runway Report, a fabulously curated presentation showcasing the best of his inimitable style. THE SCENE VIP guests and Honolulu fashionistas first gathered at Mariposa to sip cocktails and nibble luxe savory bites, and then settled into the front row for the main event, where models showed delightful summertime looks while Downing held court. In keeping with Neiman Marcus’s long-standing tradition of philanthropy and Downing’s career-long focus on the art of fashion, the entirety of the evening’s proceeds were donated to the Honolulu Museum. THE HIGHLIGHTS Flirty florals and lush pinks dominated the runway, and after the show, VIP ticket holders headed backstage to avail themselves of Downing’s sartorial expertise as he met one-on-one with the lucky few. -Margo Steines
