A hot young crowd bid on more than 100 art pieces at Advocate Through Art, raising more than $510,000 for kids.
THE PARTY Katie Dwan, Natasha Parvizian Gorgue and Meredith Marshall chaired the fifth anniversary Advocate Through Art party benefiting The Children’s Assessment Center at Kirby Grove. More than 500 guests attended, enjoying cocktails and light bites by Clark Cooper Concepts and a soundtrack by DJ Pete. THE SCENE Heather Bulk, Loretta Horowitz, Natalie Mohtashami and Jordan Seff organized the event’s auction, which included 115 donated art pieces—GONZO247, Mitch McGee, Page Piland, Shane Pennington and Peter Tunney were just a few creatives with pieces up for bidding—as well as experiences like an intimate dinner with local celeb chef Monica Pope. Artist Tyler Ramsey even live-painted a piano for the live auction. THE HIGHLIGHTS “These funds are critical to the prevention of child abuse,” said Elaine Stolte, the CAC’s executive director, and the record-breaking success raised more than $510,000 for the organization’s mission. -Miranda Proctor
