Houston magazine’s To Live and Dine Houston event put 12 top restaurants to the test, letting local gourmands pick the city’s best bite.
THE PARTY A dozen of the city’s hottest restaurants came together to show off their skills and compete in a friendly best bite competition at Houston magazine’s annual To Live and Dine event. More than 200 foodies flocked to the scene to indulge and help select the crowd favorite. THE SCENE Mia Bella Trattoria, Fig & Olive, Sud Italia, Ouisie’s Table, The Pit Room, Liberty Kitchen, Danton’s Gulf Coast Seafood, Field & Tides, HS Green, Andalucía Tapas Restaurant & Bar and Tiff’s Treats set up stations around Montrose event venue Life HTX, and each presented guests with a signature small plate from their culinary team. In addition to the restaurants, A La Carte Catering, Divisi Strings and Elegant Valet all pitched in to make the party seamless. THE HIGHLIGHTS After several samplings, and cocktails by Tito’s Vodka, attendees cast their votes. Mia Bella Trattoria took top honors, while new Galleria favorite Fig & Olive came in a close second. -Ray Dennison
