“Design has been in my blood since I was little,” says Britany Simon, founder and principal of Britany Simon Design House (britanysimon.com). “I have always had a creative brain and love to reimagine spaces, objects and projects with my own twist.” Simon’s background in fashion and design helps give her projects a strong visual identity. “Fashion has still stayed a large influence for me, and is often reflected in our use of color stories and textiles in our projects,” she shares, noting that her home base in Arizona brings another layer of inspiration. “Arizona is a rapidly growing and diverse place with people relocating here from all over the country,” she explains. “Being exposed to clients with different backgrounds, lifestyles and aesthetics allows us to pull inspiration from a wide range of styles… whether it’s the layered sophistication of the East Coast, the minimalism of the West Coast or something entirely new.”

That diversity is especially evident in her current projects, many of which are large-scale remodels. “A lot of people seem to be staying put… but investing in updating and truly creating the home they really want,” she says. No matter the scope or scale of the project, Simon is grateful to do what she loves. “Design has this truly transformative power. It can shift how you feel the moment you walk into a room,” says Simon. “It can inspire calm, spark joy or create a sense of belonging. I believe a well-designed home should support your lifestyle, reflect your story and elevate your everyday experience. Helping people create that kind of connection to their space is such a fulfilling part of what I do.” Here, Simon shares the pieces on her current mood board.

"I feel the most confident and powerful when I wear a great-fitting suit, even better if it's in a bold color or print. I love the juxtaposition of this Smythe suit: structured with a traditionally masculine print, but worn with a feminine strength and confidence." Smythe suit in Denim Stripe, shopsmythe.com

"The latest collaboration with Brigette Romanek and Crate & Barrel is full of amazing pieces, but this wall bed is the star. The style is so current and has incredible details throughout; it rivals collections just released in Milan that are easily four times the price. "One of my favorite things to shop for when I am traveling are unique perfumes. I am drawn to rare, non-mainstream perfumes because they feel personal, like a signature that you wear. On a recent trip to San Francisco, I fell in love with the Sospiro Dolce Melodia fragrance at ZGO perfumery. It is the perfect combo of fruit and floral yet sophisticated notes, which makes for a special summer fragrance." Sospiro Dolce Melodia eau de parfum, zgoperfumery.com
