Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler have officially stepped up as the next creative directors at Loewe.
The award-winning pair succeed Jonathan Anderson, who stepped down after 11 years. McCollough and Hernandez will take office on April 7 and lead the charge on Loewe’s entire production, from womenswear and menswear to leather goods and accessories.
“We are incredibly honored to join Loewe, a House whose values and mission align closely with our own,” the two say in a press release. “We look forward to working alongside its extraordinary teams and artisans, whose talent—under the exceptional creative direction of Jonathan Anderson—has shaped LOEWE into the cultural force it is today. We extend our sincere gratitude to Bernard Arnault, Delphine Arnault, Sidney Toledano, and to Pascale Lepoivre for entrusting us with this remarkable house’s next chapter.”

The friends met at Parsons School of Design and founded Proenza Schouler soon after. After graduating, they were awarded Designers of the Year and have won five CFDA Designer of the Year and Accessories of the Year awards between them.
“I am delighted to welcome Jack and Lazaro to Loewe,” EO Pascale Lepoivre says. “Their vision and creativity are a perfect match for the codes of the house that we have built, and I am excited to see them shape its future.”
“I have long admired Jack and Lazaro’s work at Proenza Schouler,” echoes Sidney Toledano, CEO of LMVH. “Their eclectic creativity and dedication to craft make them a natural choice to build the next chapter for Loewe. I look forward to seeing them lead the evolution of the House.”
