“I moved from Los Angeles to a small town (Bedford, N.Y.) on the East Coast during the pandemic and wasn’t working a whole lot and realized there was nowhere to buy good clean makeup,” shares makeup maven Jenn Streicher of her new store Scout. “When an ideal space became available, I took it as a sign,” she says. “I think consumers love the idea of an edited collection of makeup and skincare, which could otherwise be totally overwhelming and oversaturated. And I think people really respect my opinion as a professional makeup artist,” says Streicher, who counts clients like Emily Blunt among her loyal fans. Today the shop is thriving thanks to Streicher’s carefully curated selection of the best brands in beauty. Here, the makeup maven shares her edit.
