Another Round

Boozy operations and fresh OTP fare rule JEZ’s fall to-eat list.

One of Bocado Burger Bar’s mouthwatering burgers

1. American Spirit Works
SweetWater Brewing Company gets a buzzed neighbor this spring with the forthcoming American Spirit Works. The small batch distiller of American Spirit Whiskey is moving its South Carolina operation to ATL in the 60,000-square-foot Mason Murer Fine Art space that’ll include barrel storage, a tasting room and special events.

2. World of Beer
Tampa, Fla., concept World of Beer is making landfall in Midtown—their first Atlanta location. The tavern in the Viewpoint condominium building will feature more than 500 bottled beers, with another 50 rotating on tap and plenty of bar bites to keep the party going.

3. Bocado Burger Bar
The acclaimed Bocado burger stack heads OTP. Bocado Burger Bar is set to debut this month at Atlantic Station’s sister property Avalon in Alpharetta. The new digs will feature a bocce court, well-crafted sandwiches and new takes on their signature burger.

4. Old Fourth Distillery
The first (legal) distillery in Georgia since 1906 is slated to open soon in O4W. Old Fourth Distillery started as a hypothetical at a party and grew into an operation slated to distribute craft vodka, gin and whiskey to restaurants. Plus, there’s a tasting room for on-site boozing. Cheers, indeed!

5. Savor Bar & Kitchen
Savor Bar & Kitchen brings the flavor OTP. Inside The Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, new farm-to-table concept takes notes from the bayou and Gulf Coast with offerings like chicken and waffles with pickled watermelon and sugar bacon gravy, and shrimp and grits with Carolina barbecue sauce.
