ATL’s Music Festival Breakdown

Get hyped, ATL: Festival season has arrived.

Be prepared to enter an aquatic fairy tale of stages at Imagine Music Festival

It’s neon lights, glitter, action! at this aquatic-themed festival for the city’s EDM-crazed concertgoers. Four stages and more than 70 artists, DJs and bands—with headliners including Armin van Buuren, Kaskade and Alesso—will take over Atlanta Motor Speedway Sept. 21 to 23 for its fifth year, and the brains behind the outdoor operation are bringing their A-game with “the most visually and sonically impressive stages Atlanta has seen,” reveals festival co-founder Madeleine Goodhand. As for what threads will be trending, Goodhand says: “We have our own splash pool in the infield, so expect to see pieces that are easy to transition from a sexy bikini to festival-ready, like netted wraps and tops. And, of course, shiny shades and handcrafted headpieces.” VIP passes from $380, @imaginemusicfestival

We all know where we were the day Music Midtown released its 2018 lineup—they had us hooked at Imagine Dragons and Khalid, but, of course, we were sold with Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone. And it obviously wouldn’t be a Piedmont Park party without throwback hits—that’s where Fall Out Boy and Thirty Seconds to Mars come in. Pair all of that with adult bevs and plenty of eats (even for the gluten-free and vegan crowd) and Sept. 15 to 16 is gearing up to be a weekend worth blowing your paycheck on.
