The Macallan partnered with Sotheby’s to auction a single cask limited edition bottle inspired by Day of the Dead festivities. Dubbed Distil Your World Mexico, there are only two such bottles in existence, and only one will ever be sold. It’s the third such installment in the Distil Your World series, that previously celebrated flavors of London and New York City.

The whisky is housed in an orange box with marigold-themed designs. The spirit itself was developed in collaboration with 3-Michelin Star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca’s won Roca brothers, and glows with a 100% natural marigold color. It boasts 54.9% ABV and includes notes of dulce de leche and cinnamon-dusted churros, balanced by the flavors of vanilla pod and charred pineapple.
The auction is open now through March 21 and the lot is estimated at $30,000 to $80,000. All proceeds benefit Esperanza International, an organization dedicated to supporting home building and community development in Mexico.
