Adria Arjona, celebrated for her luminous performances and authentic charm, has become a symbol of effortless elegance in both the entertainment and beauty industries. “I just want to keep playing women that are realistic, that are human, that have flaws,” she shares, a sentiment that perfectly mirrors her approach to beauty and life. As she balances a slate of exciting new roles and her partnership as the ambassador for Moroccanoil’s latest fragrance launch, Arjona exemplifies a grounded yet dynamic ethos that resonates deeply with her fans.

Arjona’s schedule is brimming with compelling projects that showcase her versatility as an actress. Among her highly anticipated releases is Splitsville, a comedy directed by Michael Angelo Covino, where she stars alongside Dakota Johnson. “It’s funny and quirky—and it’s smart. It’s probably one of the best scripts I’ve read in a really long time,” she shares with palpable enthusiasm. Also upcoming is Onslaught, an intense A24 production helmed by Adam Wingard. “I have never played a character like that. I’m just really excited for fans to watch this character and to see the places that Adam guided me to. It’s pretty gnarly,” Arjona teases. Fans can also look forward to Criminal, an Amazon series co-starring Charlie Hunnam, which delves into an intergenerational story of families connected through shared criminal history.

Through these diverse roles, Arjona exemplifies her commitment to portraying complex and authentic characters and not shying away from imperfections. “I’m 32. I’m figuring my shit out,” she says. “I am not perfect. Sometimes, I feel very confident. Sometimes, I feel the complete opposite, and I’m human. … I want to celebrate all my attributes but also celebrate all my flaws and not be so scared of being imperfect.”

Arjona’s beauty philosophy is as grounded as her approach to life. For her, the foundation of radiance begins with rest. “Good sleep is my No. 1 priority,” she confesses, though she admits it’s often elusive due to her busy schedule. Arjona also relies on tried-and-true beauty staples and is also a fan of icing her face. “You can get ice anywhere,” she explains of her beauty hack. “You can get it on the plane, you can get it on set; it’s just so accessible. It keeps my skin feeling really tight and kind of closes my pores.”

For her rosacea-prone skin, Arjona has found solace in specific products like the Tower 28 SOS Rescue Spray, alongside technological innovations like the LYMA laser. “It’s really helped me with pigmentation and rosacea. I read my emails and do my LYMA—it’s a nice way to start my day.”

Her favorite beauty ritual? The coveted Beauty Sandwich facial by Iván Pol, which she does once a month or every two months. “It can keep you looking refreshed, tight and snatched without changing the way that your face moves. I just want to make sure that my face is always expressive,” she says.

As Moroccanoil’s fragrance ambassador, Arjona encapsulates the Mediterranean lifestyle the brand celebrates. “I have been a longtime fan of Moroccanoil, drawn to their fresh, exotic signature scent that has become truly iconic,” she says. “I’ve always admired the brand’s ability to create products that are luxurious yet approachable.” She says the new fragrance is no exception, noting that the scent feels both layered and dynamic, much like the region itself. “The scent is more than just a fragrance—it’s a journey. It evokes memories of my travels, immersing me in the warmth and richness of nature and culture. The inviting notes make it so much more than a scent—it’s an experience that leaves me feeling confident, empowered, and truly connected to myself and the world around me.”

“What also sets it apart is how seamlessly it blends with Moroccanoil’s existing line of products,” Arjona offers. “It becomes a part of your beauty ritual, enhancing the overall sensory experience in a way that feels both luxurious and comforting.”

For Arjona, fragrance is integral to her personal life and craft. “I’ve incorporated fragrance a lot when it comes to my method of acting. I have a fragrance for every character I’ve ever played,” she shares. “In the morning on set, right after hair and makeup, once I’m already in wardrobe, I spray it or I roll it on, and it really helps me get into that story, into that world, into that character.”

Her approach to wearing fragrance is understated yet impactful. “I don’t love things that are overpowering. I like to dab it on my wrist and behind my ear, so they get a nice little whiff when you say hi to someone.” She also sprays it in the air and walks into it, ensuring her hair carries the scent subtly. “It becomes a part of me,” she explains. Arjona shares that fragrance is also a part of her grounding routine when she travels. “I think through fragrance, I’m able to be grounded because it sort of transports me to different places or memories. Certain smells can make me feel really at home. I constantly travel with a palo santo.”

Arjona acknowledges the challenges of balancing her career and personal life but remains steadfast in creating meaningful moments outside work. “It’s definitely a balance, and I’m figuring it out. I feel like I’ll forever be figuring it out, but I surround myself with people that I admire, that inspire me, that are cool, that are funny—they keep me laughing and grounded.” She notes that keeping family and friends close is essential. “I think the people you surround yourself with have a really big impact on whether you become an asshole or not in this industry. So I think my people are keeping me in a straight line.”

Through her roles, beauty rituals and connection to fragrance, Adria Arjona exemplifies the modern woman: multifaceted, authentic and unapologetically herself. Whether on screen or as the face of Moroccanoil’s new fragrance, she inspires others to embrace their unique stories—imperfections and all. “I think there’s great beauty in imperfection, and I hope that inspires other women just to have fun and celebrate their dimples and their stretch marks,” she says. “I think there’s nothing sexier than that.”
