A Los Angeles local and CEO of Meridith Baer Home since the ’90s, Meridith Baer operates one of the largest home staging firms in the United States, driven by her love for “seeing homes come to life, being loved and showing at their very best,” she says. Her business now operates offices in L.A. as well as San Francisco, New York, the Hamptons and Miami—where she’s built a team of trusted professionals that help sellers bring their visions to life.
Baer’s home staging process is clean-cut, making clients’ lives easy. “One of our account executives will walk the home with the broker or seller to get their input and to get to know the home,” she says, before hand-picking a designer for the project. The designer visits, takes notes and selects items from Baer’s 300,000-square-foot warehouse in South Gate. “The most important thing is to consider what the home is or wants to be and to honor that,” she notes. To achieve this, Baer maintains an expansive staging inventory spanning all styles and periods, plus a 50,000-square-foot downtown workroom to manufacture furnishings from scratch. “We scour the world for treasures that make every home feel truly unique and unforgettable,” Baer states. As for the result, “it’s about more than the sale itself—it’s selling quickly, often above asking and leaving buyers, sellers and brokers genuinely delighted.”
Beyond staging homes for sale, Baer has made giving back an integral part of her philosophy. Through furniture donations and charitable partnerships, Meridith Baer Home helps create a sense of home and belonging for those who need it most throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
In her personal life, houses are still largely a happiness driver for her. “I’ve lived in my Brentwood home for 25 years, and I love it,” says the businesswoman. When not orchestrating over 150 listings’ designs each month, “I might be working in the garden or hanging out with friends or family, and my cat,” she says with a laugh.
Looking ahead, “I am very excited to share that my first book, published by Vendome, will be released in fall 2026,” hints Bear. “It will be an overview of my career and will share tips for readers on how to live well in their everyday home settings.” Here, the storied homestager shares her design favorites that make any house feel like home.
The handmade quality of the Simon Pierce Walden glasses makes them the perfect choice for an alfresco lunch outside. I also like to keep them bedside as water glasses for guests—they work everywhere! Simon Pearce Walden glasses, set of 4, simonpearce.com

I have always loved splatter stoneware dinner plates for the casual, but chic feeling they add to any dinner table. They work equally well as a charger for just a little color or can be used as the entire set. Sharland England Splatter dinner plates (set of 4), sharland-england.com

The chandelier's horizontal lines make it an ideal complement to a long dining table. The glass appears almost impossibly soft, as if draped over the rod, defying its own materiality. In warm brown, it brings a moody sophistication and casts a flattering, atmospheric glow across the dining room. The Jules Throw from Libeco Home is as good-looking as it is comfortable. Mine migrates from my favorite chair by the fire to my sofa when I am curling up to watch a good show. It's cozy and large enough to share with my cat! Libeco Home Jules throw, libecohomestores.com
