MIAMI magazine hosted its 9th annual TO LIVE AND DINE event which brought the magazine’s July/ August “FEAST” issue to life at the exclusive The M Building in Wynwood. The city’s most gastronomy- driven chefs were on hand preparing delectable bites for more than 400 foodies in attendance. Editor-in-Chief Luis Rigual was joined by Miami’s leading media, local food critics and food bloggers who served as judges of the competition. Included were Belkys Nerey (FOX/Channel-7 Co-anchor, “Bite with Belkys”), Gio Gutierrez (Chat Chow TV), Yaniv Cohen (The Spice Detective), Jen Karetnick (MIAMI magazine Dining Critic), Valentina Lara (Fork Yeah Miami), Grace Della (Miami Culinary Tours) and photographer, Michael Pisarri. After experiencing the mouthwatering offerings during the VIP hour, judges voted their favorites bites of the evening. Matador Room and Bar took the top spot as the winning restaurant followed by Lightkeepers in 2nd place with 3rd place going to Scarpetta. The epicurean delights were complemented by hand-crafted cocktails and wines by Voga Wines, Gemma Di Luna and Russian Standard Vodka as DJ Cat Shell of Elan Artists kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening. For the 6th year in a row, MIAMI magazine joined forces with Chapman Partnership to provide guests with the opportunity to give back! Attendees were encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the on-site food drive and participate in a raffle which featured gift certificates from participating restaurants. 100% of proceeds benefitted the organization highlighting MIAMI magazine's aim of bringing together festivities with philanthropy.
