Munch on light bites and new signature cocktails all summer long

It’s that time of year again! Flocks of Hamptonites are returning home for the summer, and with them comes a wave of our favorite local finds reopening their doors and beckoning in guests with dazzling new menus, sweet sips and much, much more. Among the many is Moby’s—the ever so- delicious eatery spearheaded by partners Nick Hatsatouris and Lincoln Pilcher. The summer staple is returning for its 11th year on the East End, serving its classic coastal Italian menu alongside a fresh daytime menu and new bar program.

Nestled nicely on the quaint stretch of Highway 27 leading to Montauk, the charmingly restored 1880s home welcomes up to 250 guests throughout its expansive indoor and outdoor seating areas. Reimagined by Pilcher, the new Aperitivo Room effortlessly fuses dreamy historic designs with modern moments (think restored farmhouse ceilings, bold bursts of color and serene fireplaces flanking the room). Outside, the Sicilian courtyard is perfect for alfresco bites, while the lush backyard lawn comes to life with a bocce court, a fire pit and ample space for gathering. From the sunny front cafe and pizza lounge to its two tasty bars, we promise Moby’s has just the space for you.

As for the menu, expect nothing less than savory dishes rife with peak seasonal produce, including vegetable dishes, pizza from the woodburning oven, bright pasta and local seafood. Looking to mix it up? No problem. Fresh to the table this summer is a daytime menu (think egg dishes, toasts, salads and smoothies) and a reimagined bar program led by Moby’s new bar director, Nathalie Durrieu. Best known for her work at Katana Kitten, Mister Paradise and Mace, the French native knows how to create cool and crushable cocktails for any occasion. “My cocktails are all about bright and refreshing elements, and it pairs really well with the ‘Italian vacation’ influence that Moby’s has,” she says. “I approached the menu wanting to strike a perfect balance between Italy and the Hamptons… think cocktails with fresh and fruity notes, with a tiki twist. Most of the cocktail menu is new drinks with an elevated flavor profile and some new techniques.”

When asked about her favorites, her answer is quick: “I love them all, and I wouldn’t put anything on the menu if I didn’t think it was delicious.” She continues, “If I had to highlight one, it would be the Summer Martini. It’s a vodka-based martini infused with strawberry and lemongrass mixed with a clarified mango cordial. There’s also a touch of strawberry powder on the side to give an extra layer of flavor. It’s very surprising because it just looks like a clear liquid in the glass, but it explodes with flavor.” Stop by early for a pre-dinner sip, or stay late for a nightcap in the Aperitivo Room—whatever you choose, we know it will be delicious. 341 Pantigo Road, East Hampton
