Nina Agdal has joined forces with NY-based high-end sneaker brand, Koio, for her first-ever sneaker collaboration, which launched online last Thursday, May 23rd! Designed to be both edgy and feminine, the Koio x Nina Agdal Avalanche runner reflects the Danish supermodel’s playful spunk, athleticism, love for florals and insistence on expressing her femininity on her own terms. Nina and the Koio team will celebrate the sneaker's launch during a party at The Surf Lodge in Montauk, a location close to Nina’s heart, this Saturday, June 1.
The sneakers will be for sale at a Koio pop-up at The Surf Lodge today and will also be available exclusively for pre-order on Koio.co through 11:59 EDT on Friday, June 14.
Priced at $348, the Koio x Nina Agdal sneaker features a bold blend of Vitello calf leather and nylon in light grey and creme tones, all printed with a vibrant red and pink floral design. A not-too chunky performance EVA outsole and light grey cotton laces perfectly compliment the athletic design.
“I have always been a sneaker girl and grew up being very active, so from a young age sneakers were my go-to footwear. There’s such a sneaker moment happening right now which I LOVE because you can actually wear sneakers to more dressy occasions and have the benefit of being both fashionable and comfortable,” said Nina Agdal. “I was so excited to collaborate with Koio on this shoe because they do an incredible job of telling stories and bringing their collaborator’s visions to life.
