The Camino Health Center Auxiliary Fashion Show toasted its 35th anniversary with a tally of more than $285,000.
THE PARTY There were diamonds and designer dresses aplenty at this year’s Camino Health Center Auxiliary Fashion Show at Monarch Beach Resort, where hundreds of well-heeled women gathered to celebrate the beloved organization’s 35th anniversary. THE SCENE Fashion show chairs Vanessa Silva and Anne Crawford welcomed the crowd to the fete’s opening reception, which dazzled with a bevy of silent auction items, bubbly and models showcasing the latest looks from Escada and David Yurman. The stylish soiree continued with an elegant runway show led by South Coast Plaza. Leading ladies, like Patti Fukushima, Linda Berkshire, Bette Brooks and Margaret Kalimada, looked on as a parade of ensembles by Bally, Missoni, Sandro, St. John, Tadashi Shoji and more made their way down the catwalk. THE HIGHLIGHTS There was good reason to raise a glass this year—Camino Health Center CEO Debra Drew honored auxiliary founder Gaye Birtcher in commemoration of the organization’s three-plus decades of supporting health care, and raffle winner Barbara Dunn took home a dazzling Ruth Fitzgerald diamond necklace created specifically for the fete.
