The Radiant Health Centers Gala’s $285,000 total brightened the lives of those living with HIV.
THE PARTY The streets of New Orleans may be the scene of Mardi Gras, but The Yost Theater was the setting for another kind of carnival when Radiant Health Centers (formerly known as AIDS Services Foundation) unveiled its annual gala. More than 300 revelers donned masks, beads and cool costumes, and partied down to raise $285,000 for the nonprofit. THE GUESTS Chair Larry Will (whose rhombus-patterned suit was a snazzy sight) joined Nicole Chapman (love that feather boa!) and Devan Wollan (outfitted from head to toe in white) for festivities such as dinner, an auction (artist Ali Sabet sold off his latest piece, created live during the soiree) and entertainment from Toni Malone—aka “The Lady of Song.” THE HIGHLIGHTS The reason for it all was not lost on the merrymakers: Nearly 7,000 people live with HIV in the region—enough to fill the grandstand at the O.C. fairgrounds, and RHC’s goal is to create a world without AIDS deaths. -Kristen Schott
